2023 River festival is on 3rd -6th August!

River Festival 2023 Information! We are pleased to be running the Llandysul Paddlers River festival again this year. For those that have not attended the river festival before the idea is to have a few fun activities leading up to and during our division 2,3,4 slalom. This year’s dates are 2nd – 6th August 2023.  The Plan –  Wednesday 2nd August – Camping only, a day to set up camp.  Thursday 3rd August – A choice of activities, Coasteering, River Swim, Slalom Training, White Water Kayaking, Canoeing, Stand Up Paddle boarding & Rock Climbing (AM and PM session)  Friday 4th August – A choice of activities, Coasteering, River Swim, Slalom Training, White Water Kayaking, Canoeing, Stand Up Paddle boarding & Rock Climbing (AM and PM session)  Saturday 5th August – Race day for those that want to try slalom competition, for others lake fun, river swim, Coasteering, Canoeing, Stand Up Paddle boarding etc.(Bit more lake orientated for those not racing) Sunday 6th August – Race day for those that want to try slalom competition, for others lake fun, river swim, Coasteering, Canoeing, Stand Up Paddle boarding etc. (Bit more lake orientated for those not racing)  *Camping available Sunday night if you want to stay longer.  * If you have kit bring it along if not you can use ours.  Food – No food provided during the week but we will have a big team BBQ on Saturday evening this will be free to everyone with the full ticket or £10 a ticket all others.  Cost –  Full ticket – £100. * Discount of 20% to Canoe Wales members (£80) * Discount of 20% to British Canoeing members (£80) * Discount of 50% Llandysul Paddlers Members. (£50) Division 2,3 and 4 Slalom race to be held on the Saturday and Sunday, Please Pre book on the following link – Slalom  (This is just for those that have raced before and been promoted) What is included in the full ticket –  Priority spots on activities All equipment including wetsuits, boats, paddles, etc Camping with electric hook up if you need it.  Race entry for the lake race Sat and Sunday BBQ Saturday evening Transport to the Coasteering and Rock Climbing venue What is not included in the full ticket –  Food apart from Saturday evening Race entry for the division 2 and 3 race Wetsuit boots, Just bring your own or old trainers.  Minimum Age – 8 years is the minimum age but this can be reduced if they have lots of paddling experience and parental supervision on the activities etc  What if I am coming to the slalom race on the weekend and just want to do that race and a few extra bits  –  No problems you can just pay as you go – £5 for camping per person per night.(Electric Extra) £10 BBQ sat night £25 per activity  £5 per slalom training session.  For additional information or to book your place just email Alix – lpbookings@aol.com Payment details will be sent out once you book I hope that all sounds OK, if you have any questions just call the Canoe Centre on 01559363209 or 07900570440 or email lpbookings@aol.com
