Whitewater Kayaking through to gin tasting and everything in-between, on the  12^th – 14^th July Llandysul Paddlers is the place to be to celebrate everything that the #ShePaddles initiative has achieved so far! 

#ShePaddles is an initiative that aims to get more women and girls into paddlesport, and to keep them progressing to where they want to be – whether that’s paddling with family, volunteering as a coach at a local club, becoming an instructor or competing at a national level. 

Here at Llandysul Paddlers we believe that everyone deserves to be  treated with respect and given equal opportunity. This is highlighted by the fact that our club members are equally split in gender. 

In 2017 we launched our ladies only kayaking sessions, to this date a number of the females that attended this session have gone on to become Kayaking coaches, Canoe slalom athletes racing internationally for the Welsh Canoe Slalom team and most importantly recreational paddlers that enjoy Paddlesport. 

To celebrate the success of #ShePaddles, Canoe Wales and Llandysul Paddlers teamed up to organise the 2024 Summer Celebration. A chance to meet fellow Paddlers and share the message of how awesome Kayaking is for bringing people together. 

The event is a HUGE celebration and culmination of every festival and event that Canoe Wales have held for the #ShePaddles Cymru initiative. The celebration will have some awesome workshops, sea & whitewater journeys, music, gin tasting and an opportunity to explore and learn about some kayaking gear at Outdoor kit 4 U! If i had to describe the weekend, id say it is a lot of really psyched paddlers in all disciplines having a really great time, all with the aim of encouraging women and girls, whether they are fresh into paddling or season pros, there was something for everyone!
